Dailies - Rabbit champion

And in this corner... from a dark corner of my mind... most likely influenced by Donnie Darko and some comic I seen years ago where the gov't experimented on a dog, cat and rabbit turning them into weapons (very sad comic)... a robo rabbit. Pencil, Pentel brush pen, eraser, random colour markers and copics.

Dailies - Pen scribbling

Found a very cool painting over at DA and used it as my model to play around with pen scribbling. It was fun to just let those pens go nuts all over the page until I had something.

Original:

And mine:

Dailies - Some random Beardo's, Lobo (The main man) and lastly... Dr Freeze

Dailies - Judge Death

Throwing down some more pencils, inks and colors to stick with my plan of doing some daily art stuffs. Judge Death is my go to guy today...

Dailies - Sketches

Some random gal with a bad attitude and then a pic of Vlad at the beach.

Quick loose pencils then inked with Pentel brush pen then cleaned up with an eraser. :)

Dailies - Batgirl

Once more with the copic foundation and colours and then inks last.

Dailies - Hulk

Trying a technique where you work with copics and lay out all the greys then ink last. Not sure what to make of it but here goes...

Drax the Destroyer

I was never much of a comic reading kind of guy but I have always enjoyed drawing them. This Guardians of the Galaxy movie coming out looks pretty cool. Figured I would draw that Drax character today over lunch. Done on my Note 10.1 tablet by Samsung and using a few apps to get it done.
Sketchbook Pro
WaterColorPencil
PicsArt

First I found a reference image over at Deviant art. Great gallery there for muscle type models.

Next... sketched it up in Sketchbook Pro

Then I moved the sketch over to WaterColorPencil and messily slopped a bunch of colors on it. I wasnt worried about it as the filters I use on PicsArt make it all look pretty sweet.

Lastly as mentioned.. take the image over to PicsArt and mess around with the filters and toss a lens flare or three on those knives and its done.

You can view the full sized image over at my Deviant art gallery here

Captain America

There is a gallery over at Deviant art that is chock full of amazing photo's of men mostly but some women as well. They are strong and super hero like in their builds which makes for some great reference material for the comic artists out there. I strongly recommend you bookmark it. I often go there and find inspiration for a new project and such was the case today. I seen a new photo posted and had to do a sketch of it but with Captain America instead of a football player. See the original photo below and my version below that.

More collab fun

Once again I took a brilliant sketch from old friend Selkirk(Greg Martin) whom I met way back in the day at Outcast Studios.com and did some what of a work up on it. I need colouring practice so this is how I am getting it. You can visit the original at his Deviant gallery here but the picture is also below. I did two versions of it actually. Which do you like?

Selkirks original

And my two versions...

Mermaid

Old friend Selkirk who goes way back with me to the old Outcast Studios days has a killer (adult) gallery of sketches over at Deviant Art. His work has always been inspirational to me... such loose fluid lines and wonderful gestures and poses...

Anyways, I used a sketch of his as the foundation for this Mermaid pic. Please visit his gallery, say hi... tell him how amazing he is and all that would you?

Cheers

And my twist on his brilliance....
