Another iPad zombie

I am still playing around with the $5 iPad app called Sketchbook Pro and so far enjoying it. I wish there was more inking type brushes on it and some other ways to paint like water color for example. Maybe its there and I just havent figured that out yet possibly. Regardless... enjoying it.

365 days of drawings - didnt make it!

Well, with a camping weekend, then a long weekend combo with my daughters birthday and all around just plain crazyness... I didnt make it a whole year with drawing something everyday. I did however make it to 240 drawings in 160 days. I will add to this total the 4 pictures below I drew over the past few days to bring it to a total of 244.

I will keep drawing daily of course but not for part of this project. The idea was to attempt to make it a whole yr. I didnt make it but I didnt fail in my opinion. I feel pretty damn good about my success as it were.

365 days - My fantasy world is evolving

Still working on my map of my little fantasy world... surprising how long it can take when you are working micro sized and detailing every little tree and blade of grass.

365 days of drawings... Map making today

Something I have always loved doing is generating maps of fictional high fantasy gaming worlds. Today I decided to buy a new Moleskine and dedicate every page in it to this world making process. The first page is the continent itself and some neighboring smaller land masses. Here is what I have so far after 2 hrs.

For the helluvit I chose to see about drawing a fantasy map on the iPad using the app called Paper. Didnt turn out too bad. If I spent more time on it, it might actually rock.

365 days... a tiny sketch

I have a tendency to work pretty small and sometimes, almost like a therapy... I work really really small. last night I went into therapy mode and cranked out this little fictional Matrix-esque scene.

Just playing around with an idea for a parody type comic... based obviously on Batgirl.... Rat Girl! Yes, she is a ginger. She has a bad attitude, smokes, drinks, fornicates.... basically she is the opposite of Batgirl. lol.

365 days - Doodles

Finished the last page in my Moleskine finally... filled it fulla doodles yesterday and the day before. You got Wilma and Pebbles in one corner, Fred in the other, Superman with a sore butt I guess and some girls horrified and laughing. On the other page... Hellboy and Conan, some brainiac kid, evil teddy at night by the bed, alien wierdo, kid smoking pot, Tin man and a squirrel. Pure random.

Sorry folks... been drawing but just not uploading the images. Here is a series of sillies I made over the week/weekend.

This past weekend I rode with a bunch of guys on an epic S24O (sub - 24hr overnighter). I hit the wall physically at about 40K and they helped me with the last 20k. I got a ride back the next day. lol. It was great fun but man... I was physically not prepared for it. My ride was too heavy and I was too old and out of shape. Something to work towards though.

Well, here is the dump from the last few days since my last post. I gotta admit... trying to draw something every single day is still a hurdle. Not as hard as it was before for some reason but now and then I still need to remind myself of what I'm trying to do and then kick my butt in gear to get it done.
