Assassins Creed

Todays DSC at Outcast Studios.com is Assassins Creed. I enjoyed this challenge as I tend to avoid fabrics and this character has plenty of layers and folds. I still could have done more with that aspect of the challenge but I was content just racing through this and doing some loose folds and bends in his clothing and seeing if it worked or not. You tell me if it did.

Naked Snake

Todays Daily Sketch Challenge over at Outcast Studios.com is Naked Snake. He is some kind of soldier from a video game. Now I ask you... what kind of handle is "Naked Snake"? Must be something that is lost in translation from the Asian market into the North American one. Its just a guess. It cant be on purpose. Can it?

Mr. Rager

I have been considering getting into water colours and using them with my comic work for pretty much decades. I dont know exactly why I havent yet. I think mostly its being forgetful. Sometimes its being lazy. I decided tonight to at least start the learning process. I have a long ways to go i can tell but life is all about pushing yourself to learn new things and as such, I really enjoyed the process tonight. After goofing around for an hour or so and watching a couple YouTube videos (man, I really love the internet)... I gave it a go.

Here is Mr. Rager. An angry young man that has been beating around inside my head for about two weeks ever since I discovered the Kid Cudi song of the same name.

Crystal Amaquelin.

Who? Yeah, exactly what I said. lol.

Crystal Amaquelin is an Inhuman and the younger sister of Medusa, Queen of the Inhumans. Crystal posesses the ability to manipulate the elements. She is a former member of the Fantastic Four and was formerly married to Quicksilver, with whom she mothered a child named Luna.

Your challenge today is to draw CRYSTAL for thirty or so minutes!

The Dragon with the girl tattoo

Suddenly had this idea of a dragon with a girl tattoo instead of a girl with a dragon tattoo like we all know. So... I set about making the idea into a sketch and then took that sketch to completion. All done via the iPad.

Darling Nikki... zombie killah!

I draw Google plusser Nikki Crome far too often. lol. She is just so great looking with her unique bone structure and her personality shines through. I felt like drawing this exact image and struggled with a face until it came time to make the image of a zombie killer with attitude and immediately I pictured her face in the shot. So... I made it so. One bad ass little lady zombie killer for your enjoyment. Drawn on ye old iPad.

Logan, The process

Hi folks... made this fun image today of an older Logan (Wolverine). Being 47 myself, I feel supers need to age with me. lol. Hey... he aged to the age he is now right? Why cant he age just a bit more? Maybe something happened to his healing factor for about 20 yrs or something? Anyways, I did this image up on my iPad which is my tool of choice this year. I used Procreate app to do all the heavy lifting and then tweaked it with Strip Design app. You can see I rough it all up in blue lines on one layer then move to a new layer where I start laying down my inks. Once done I work layer by layer doing the colors so that I can erase or adjust them without worrying about the other layers. LOVE working with layers now.

I read this funny script online one day and it inspired me to create this humorous poke at The 300. My Persian friend particularly loved it as she knows all too well the truth and the fiction of this historic tale. Anyways... hope you enjoy. (click image to see it larger if need be).
