Inktober - day 30
Just a sketch dump really. Not feeling it today but needed to draw something. Pulled some inspiration from an artist who worked with a friend of mine and was published in Heavy Metal Magazine once upon a time. You can check out some of the work here.

Commission
The job required a Bat man type image of the fella's wife and her niece as Super girl. The other job was of his son in law as Superman. Done. It was terribly challenging to get their faces right and in the end I needed some help with overlays to get it right. I'm just terrible at capturing likeness'. As such, to get the images right, I needed to work digitally. Plus they wanted coloured and again... painting digitally for me is just so much more better than I can do traditionally.

Childrens illustration attempt...
I have always wanted to spend my time illustrating for kids books. That would be very satisfying. Thing is... I have never spent any time training myself to do such art. I have now found a great poem/short story that will make a great kids book so I am going to give it a go illustrating it and maybe we can get this thing published.
Sharon Jackson wrote the Poem/story called Callum's Pet and you can view it here
Below are some of my scratchings for coming up with characters for it. Many of the dino's are inspired off images I located in google searches and I have tweaked them a hair. Depending on the direction we choose I will then tweak them further to fully make them our own designs. Got a favorite? Let me know.
